According to Martin Keown, Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah might be struggling to replicate last season’s form in the early weeks of the 2018-19 campaign due to the shoulder injury that he picked up in the 2018 Champions League final.
Keown, in his column for the Daily Mail, has claimed that the shoulder dislocation Salah suffered in a tangle with Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos has made it difficult for the Egypt international to show his best form this term.
Salah was outstanding for Liverpool last season, with the attacker scoring 44 times in 52 appearances in all competitions.
The 26-year-old has netted twice in six appearances this term, but there is no question that his overall performances have been below the level of last season.
The Everton fans have been quick to react to an article from the Liverpool Echo, which carried the quotes from Keown.
