Speculation regarding a return to Apple TV+ streaming services for the award-winning production has been rife since the autumn of 2024. It was claimed back then that leading members of the cast and crew were on board and “excited” to get going.

There have been regular hints since then that the relevant green lights have been given and that work is underway to bring AFC Richmond back to the small screen. It would appear as though cameras will begin rolling in the summer.

According to Sigmund Judge of the podcast, with the programme about to be taken in a different direction: “London filming for Ted Lasso S4 is now set to begin in May/June with focus shifting at AFC Richmond to the formation of its women’s team.”

Judge went on to say of plans supposedly being drawn up for three more seasons of Ted Lasso: “Pre-production is in full swing. The original agreement was a three season order, which I believe has been repeated. I’d think it’s safe to assume that the writing rooms have been secretly busy for some time.”
