Fulham midfielder Clint Dempsey’s reported move to either Liverpool or Wolfsburg has been dismissed as pure speculation by his agent.
Former Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson has been heavily linked with a raid on his old club to take the 27-year-old to Anfield, while Wolfsburg boss Steve McClaren is also reported to be keen on the USA international.
However, Dempsey’s agent Lyle Yorks insist talk of such a move to Liverpool or Germany is just speculation but he has admitted that a number of clubs are watching Dempsey with some interest.
“Some of it is just reports and some of it is accurate,” Yorks told MLSsoccer.com.
“There’s interest in Clint, but there are no discussions right now.”
On the Liverpool and Wolfsburg links, he added:“These two are just reports at this point.
“But there’s always interest in Clint. It’s been that way for a long time. People have him on their wish list.”
