Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has every intention of snapping up Derby County striker Luke Varney on a permanent basis in January.
The 28-year-old is currently on loan at Bloomfield Road and netted with a spectacular strike in Saturday's 2-1 victory against Wolves.
Holloway confirmed: "We're going to sign him in January. We have a massive clause in there. He can't go anywhere else and we get him for £250,000. They can't change that, there's nothing they can do about it. Unlucky."
Former Crewe Alexandra and Charlton Athletic star Varney, who has netted four times in ten starts for Holloway's side, is also keen to make the deal permanent, saying:"I'd be delighted if something could be done because I've never enjoyed my football so much.
"The togetherness here is nothing like I've ever seen before. Hopefully something can be sorted out in January or, if not, then at the end of the season. You can't not slot in here because the gaffer gives you so much space to express yourself."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
