Manchester United are currently going through a bit of a crisis when it comes to available players – especially in a defensive position.
Indeed, Eric Bailly, Chris Smalling and Antonio Valencia are currently on the sidelines through injury, whilst Ashley Young is serving a suspension.
Luke Shaw has benefited to start Man United’s last three Premier League matches, whilst Victor Lindelof has featured on a couple of occasions at right-back in recent weeks.
It would be fair to say that Lindelof has not exactly looked solid on the right of the defence, however, whilst Matteo Darmian’s recent performances have been pretty dire.
As a result, Man United currently have an issue at right-back. At least until stand-in captain Valencia returns from the problem that he picked up last month.
Timothy Fosu-Mensah, who is valued at £6.3m by transfermarkt.co.uk, is currently impressing on loan at Crystal Palace, with the 20-year-old starring against Manchester City last weekend.
The defender joined the Eagles on loan last summer, and his recent form has led to Man United fans calling on head coach Jose Mourinho to recall the Dutchman this month.
