As football delves deeper and deeper into the world of money and greed, the likes of Mino Raiola and Jorge Mendes have almost become household names.
Notoriously known as ‘super-agents’, they have come to wield a huge sense of power and influence in the modern game, representing some of the biggest and best talents in world football.
And that is exactly why when players seek to steer clear of such avenues, it becomes incredibly refreshing. For Manchester United, that is exactly what has reportedly happened with teenage starlet, Mason Greenwood.
According to The Daily Mail, the 18-year-old has “rebuffed approaches from the country’s top agencies to remain represented by his father”, with the report further claiming that the Greenwood family has a “strong relationship with the club”.

After hearing about the news, United fans took to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the situation.
A couple of fans urged him to stay away from Raiola, with one supporter in particular saying that if he manages to do that, then they should be fine.
Another supporter of the Manchester side called on him to keep working hard, and warned him about not turning into another Paul Pogba.
What a nice surprise that is for both United as a club, and for the fan-base as a whole. Greenwood’s break-out campaign this season has seen him net ten times across all competitions for the first-team, and naturally, the sharks will have been swimming in the water to try and tempt him to join their respective agencies.
Instead, it seems Greenwood still has his feet on the ground and is happy to leave the business side of things to his family, who should ultimately look out for his best interests.
