Worcestershire fined for fielding ineligible player

Worcestershire have been fined £600 by the ECB after they were found to have played an unregistered player in a Friends Provident Trophy match earlier this season.The ECB accepted the failure to register Ian Fisher was an administrative oversight on the part of the county and that Fisher – who is now registered properly – was at all relevant times eligible to be registered and play for Worcestershire.Fisher himself was found to be “entirely blameless”.
